Sudden Transcoding since V. 4.0.1.0

Dear gentlemen,

I´m using Embyserver now since two years and got a lot of films on my Synology DS216play.

Under normal circumstances I convert all my new films to a mp4-Format which is used by Samsung 6XXX-TV's (h264).

Worked for over 200 films.

Last weekend I updated Embyserver on my NAS to Version 4.0.1.0

Since then the Video format which is displayed in the main-screen changed from mp4 to mpeg and the Embyserver tries to convert this new films.

All the residing films are working perfectly.

Within the ffmpeg-transcode-log it says ".........h264-level=41&TranscodeReasons=VideoFramerateNotSupported............" which results in jerky streaming and  network-errors

The Film is recognized and played correctly as a mp4 on the pc.

Attached the log-files (all private data cleared) for an idea of your site.

Thank you for your support.

Hi there, what Emby app are you playing with? Did you check the server dashboard to learn about the reason for transcoding?

So you're playing with the web app?

I don't start any app on the TV. Isn't it the DLNA to which I'm connecting directly with the TV? The emby server shows up as a source within the TV and I can select it.

Regardless if I connect to the emby server through the browser on the TV (i.e. EmbyServerIP:8096) and start the video there it's running perfectly.

Could the DNLA be a topic?

I also checked the Transcvoding settings as you suggested and described here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Transcoding

Nothing is changed from my site there.

Our LG dlna profile has a limit set to 30 for the max framerate. We've always had this. The framerate for this video is higher than that, which is why it is transcoding. The server dashboard can tell you this.

Can you try another video with a lower framerate? Thanks.

Hi there,

is the LG DLNA-Profile equal to the Samsung DLNA-Profile? However, you brought me to the right direction.  :)

All films are about framerate 30  and I've got the possibility to reduce the framerate within in the converter.

Running now and happy again. Just updated to the new version.

Thank you for your support! B)
