Magsajo 0 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) On the front end, the latest movies section isn't updating - hasn't been for a few months now for me. A quick search brought up an old thread with the jist of "create date" vs "modified date" so I looked at the details of a newly added movie - i can tell you the most accurate date in the screenshot is the modified date of the MKV file. See how the image files dates are around the same inaccurate time as well? So if we look at the selection in metadata manager, we can see the date added reflects the date created of the NFO and the MKV files - this should be the 2019 date from the red box above The date reverts back after modifying and running a library scan. I'm running the latest on win7 64. editing the NFO file has no effect on the file's attributes. (Yes - I've tried messing with file permissions) this is not a showstopper for me - but I wanted to let you know what I've found and I can settle for the ability to modify date added value in an upcoming patch Edited January 24, 2019 by Magsajo
Magsajo 0 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) In addition - here are the file details of the most recent selection in the latest movies section Interesting that the NFO dates reflect that same inaccurate date as above, but the image file dates are accurate to the selection's addition to my library. Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 What date appears in the nfo "dateadded" tag? Emby will read all existing metadata.
Magsajo 0 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) What date appears in the nfo "dateadded" tag? Emby will read all existing metadata. I see where you're going... Just modified that tag within the NFO, then ran a library scan. No dice. The modified date stuck in the file, but the MDM and my clients still sees that 2007 date. .... HOLD UP.... ok - ran refrseh metadata on the selection AFTER modifying the tag within the NFO file and that has worked.. that is... a pain in the ass, but at least there's a workaround. additionally - also attempted this process solely from MDM on another selection - took 2 tries (possibly a combo of slow system and library size) but I did get it to take. Thankfully I only have to run edits on additions since November 2018. Edited January 24, 2019 by Magsajo
