initialsi 0 Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) Hello, I set up the server about four years ago and took all the default paths. About a year ago, I started to migrate whatever I can from C drive to another data drive due to space limitation on the OS drive. Specifically, I changed the metadata path to D:\Emby\metadata from C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\metadata. After upgraded to the v4, I noticed some of the cast members' picture are missing. A few people from a search came back with duplicates. If I go into the one of the missing picture person, the picture then will load and that specific movie's cast will then populate. When I click on the ... on the affected cast member -> Edit Metadata, I see its path is still pointing to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\metadata\People. I renamed the metadata folder on the C drive to something different, then most of the people's pictures are missing again. I clicked on the affected person, then the picture will re-populate. On the server, I see the it automatically recreated a new metadata folder. In order to fix the missing pictures, I deleted the new metadata folder, rename the original metadata folder back, then refresh the metadata manually. I appears that all the affected people are prior to the path change, they are still using the default C drive path. The duplicates has one pointing to C and one pointing to D drive. Is there a way to force them to use the new path? Thanks. Edited January 22, 2019 by initialsi
Luke 42080 Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Hi, please see here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/68555-cant-make-4002-read-people-metadata-with-emby-xml-plugin/ Thanks.
initialsi 0 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 So the people's metadata structure has changed, but in my case, partial people's metadata is still pointing to the old path. I can't seen to change it to a new location. I just need to get if off the C drive and properly populate non duplicated image. Any idea to force migrate?
