denywinarto 5 Posted January 10, 2019 Author Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) It works on the server because the server can directly access the path. AH! So this is what you mean Luke, took me a while to understand lol https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Optional-Network-Paths It's working now even with quicksync enabled Thanks for being patient with me, gonna subscribe lifetime license soon, just got one more thing i cant figure out, i hope you could answer this, This is different with my previous case btw, Is there anyway to do direct play, (not transcoding) on an environment where clients login through public wifi, and then access emby via web app? From my understanding directplay requires clients to have smb shares connected, My SMB share is password ed, and i cant find any way to automatically login smb share, right after after wifi login, i hope it makes sense... Would it be possible to use web server such as apache to accomplish same thing? Edited January 10, 2019 by denywinarto
Luke 42077 Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Web apps can't access smb shares directly but the web app can still direct play through emby server. This will already happen whenever possible so there's nothing you need to do.
denywinarto 5 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 Thanks luke, just subscribed to lifetime yesterday. I'm now trying to install this : https://github.com/flexage/emby-web-flextuary cause i need a more mouse-friendly skin, however, i cant find any option called installed plugin in emby theatre's settings. not even in admin account..
Guest asrequested Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 You may find this, helpful https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/48144-flextuary-skin-for-emby-theater/?hl=flextuary
denywinarto 5 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 Yes i followed that guide, but i cant find any "installes plugin" on emby theatre settings
Guest asrequested Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Ah yeah, that option has been removed...
denywinarto 5 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 So.. how do i install the skin then?
denywinarto 5 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 Any reason why it was removed luke? How would i change the theatre skin now?
Guest asrequested Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 There are some options to change the UI. Have you seen those?
denywinarto 5 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 (edited) Yes, but thats not what i need, like i mentioned before, the default skin is still not mouse friendly, Dragging to left and right is almost impossible, because it will always get clicked when the mouse is released... and there's no scroll bar on tvshow episodes, there's also other things that is difficult to do with mouse navigation and i intended to create my own skin to suit my needs actually, cause my library is huge and it needs more informative skin such as ace vertical.. I thought emby allowed skin customizing ? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/blog/1/entry-302-learn-how-to-create-skins-for-emby-theater/ Edited January 13, 2019 by denywinarto
Guest asrequested Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 You don't think desktop mode is mouse friendly? It should have scroll bars.
Luke 42077 Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 If your primary input method is a mouse then I would suggest desktop mode.
denywinarto 5 Posted January 14, 2019 Author Posted January 14, 2019 Ah didn't know that! Now that helps alot, no wonder the UI was so clunky when used with mouse, But, in the long term i plan to create custom skin like this to accommodate my huge library, cause the default skin displays too few items... http://i.imgur.com/M7Yh5o4.png So is it still possible to customize emby skin now?
