Tuco 0 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 I'm trying to install Emby on my TS-231P NAS. I've tried every possible download on this site https://emby.media/nas-server.html and every one of them states the software can not be installed. Is there a secret version I don't have a link to? Reading these forums people have got it installed on a TS-231P. What am I doing wrong? Did I simply buy the wrong piece of hardware for this job?
Luke 42077 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Hi, did you see this thread? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/65635-qnap-ts-231p-does-not-start
Tuco 0 Posted December 29, 2018 Author Posted December 29, 2018 Hi, did you see this thread? https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/65635-qnap-ts-231p-does-not-start I had read that thread but that person is one step ahead of me, they had it loaded. I can't even get it to load. Here's a screen shot of where it all goes bad for me no matter which of the packages I try.
Luke 42077 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Please try the x31 package instead. Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 And if it still fails, are you able to locate the qnap system logs like it says? Thanks
Tuco 0 Posted December 29, 2018 Author Posted December 29, 2018 And if it still fails, are you able to locate the qnap system logs like it says? Thanks Tried X31 and same result. Cleared system logs before attempted install and here's the result after - nothing recorded in there.
Tuco 0 Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 So no one can help with me not being able to load emby onto my TS231P? I've tried every version of the software I can find and keep getting told it can not be installed with no explanation as to why. It states read the logs but there is nothing in the logs.
Luke 42077 Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 I apologize for the delay. We are still looking into this. Thanks.
AshranPewter 6 Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Did you try with different browsers? I have a lot of trouble loading stuff on chrome sometimes with the qnap software for whatever reason. Best, AshranPewter
Tuco 0 Posted January 9, 2019 Author Posted January 9, 2019 Did you try with different browsers? I have a lot of trouble loading stuff on chrome sometimes with the qnap software for whatever reason. Best, AshranPewter You're one step ahead. I can't even get the app to install on the QNAP.
Tuco 0 Posted January 9, 2019 Author Posted January 9, 2019 (edited) Does this help to solve the issue? Also, I can't seem to remove the 3.5.3.0_... version. Edited January 9, 2019 by Tuco
AshranPewter 6 Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 You're one step ahead. I can't even get the app to install on the QNAP. Nah, sometimes you can't upload to QNAP apps based on the browser. I've had to install using Firefox or upload VPN profiles as well because Chrome just sits forever loading. But looks like you found out it's an issue with the config file in the package. Best, AshranPewter
Luke 42077 Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 We're looking into it. Unfortunately QNAP developer documentation on these older models is not quite as nice as what they have for the newer ones.
