Where do I apply CSS changes?

I want to start changing the look of my web app but I'm not sure how to apply my changes.  Do I edit a file somewhere in Emby's folder structure, or do I just type my CSS change into custom CSS box under settings in my dashboard?  Thanks.

Admin Dashboard > Settings. There is a Custom CSS section there.

Thanks for that but one more question. Where can I go to view the original CSS so that I can get a better idea about how to make future changes, and just kind of get a feel for the layout of everything

The "original" css - is what's in the emby web pages 

 

Open an Emby web page then in chrome hit - ctrl+shift+i

and then explore the elements section as a start

 

Good luck as there is little to no documentation other than what others have posted on solutions

think you need to read up on what css is and how it works

Easiest way is to open the browser dev console so you can select and see what element you are wanting to modify.

 

Have you looked at the Accent themes as a starting point, even though they were somewhat abandoned when Luke added default themes?

Everything you modifying reside in "Emby-Server\system\dashboard-ui" (at least on Windows), your custom css reside in the Emby-Server\programdata\config\branding.xml as everything in the system folder gets replaced with every system update.
