lixxbox 0 Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 (edited) Hi, I need some help saving the watched status over to a new Emby jail. I was at a dead end with my Emby installation. I had originally installed via the FreeNAS plugin and was no longer able to install updates. I had already tried to follow this guide (https://emby.media/freebsd-server.html), but my FreeNAS 9.x version was apparently too old. Plugins also can't be installed anymore (SecureChannelFailure) My Emby installation is at 3.1.2.0. Now I decided to update to FreeNAS 11.2 RC2. I was able to install version 3.5.3 with the new Emby plugin. At first sight everything runs fine. Now I tried to restore the watched status (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Backup), but the structure of the library.db looks different (userdatas / userdata) and I am not sure if it is possible. I don't know anything about databases. The old Emby version still runs parallel in its old jail, so i tried to write the watched status into the nfo files, without success. Unfortunately I also read, that the status is no longer read from nfo files. The possibility to synchronize with trakt doesn't work, because I can't install plugins in the old version. Or could I install the plugin by simply copying files? Do you have any hints what I could do? lixxbox Edited November 21, 2018 by lixxbox
gbarone123 4 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Haven’t used it myself, but do some reading on Trakt. It may be able to help you.
lixxbox 0 Posted November 23, 2018 Author Posted November 23, 2018 I already tried Trakt, but I‘m not able to install Plugins in the old jail ;-( I also installed Trakt in my new jail and copied the dll over to my old jail, but it does not work. Now i started to set it up manually.
Luke 42077 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Here's a copy of the last version of the plugin that was compatible with 3.3. You could install this manually into the older server. MBBackup.zip 1
