One file (so far) doesn't play, everything else plays fine

I have a problem with playing the first file of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (and the first episode of Luke Cage season 2 come to think of it). Emby tries to load it but doesn't actually do anything after about 5-6 seconds of loading. Playing it while forcing transcoding (through the context menu) does seem to work, but I seem to remember it didn't work with Luke Cage. I've tried different versions of the episode but they all react the same way (= they do nothing).

Edit: For clarification, the rest of the episodes that I've tried do seem to work fine.

Any ideas?

Hi, I imagine @@Angelblue05 will also want to see the Emby for Kodi log. Thanks.

Had another one today. I'm currently out of the house but will post the log tomorrow.

Here's the log: https://paste.kodi.tv/sulikobamu

It happens with episode 5 of Grey's Anatomy as well. It should be in the log. The other episodes work fine.

Network paths are correct, I've reset and repaired the database but that didn't help either.

Could be corrupted files and nothing to do with emby. Just my observation... Have you tried redownloading files from a different source maybe? Worth a shot if they dont notice anything wrong in logs. Cheers!

I've tried different versions but it doesn't matter, they don't play.

Kodi seems to complain about opening the file itself. If the path is correct then it's not the add-on itself.

For this time only, can you disable emby for kodi logging and enable kodi debug. Play episode 5 again. Post a new log. Hopefully it will tell us why Kodi can't open that specific file. Everything looks ok to me. The only thing I can think of is some permission issue...

Well, I reset the permissions for these specific files and that seemed to help. Weird. But problem solved :)

Great. Thanks for posting back. I checked your log and Kodi doesn't even say why it failed. :(
