markdj 49 Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 (edited) I have a problem with playing the first file of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (and the first episode of Luke Cage season 2 come to think of it). Emby tries to load it but doesn't actually do anything after about 5-6 seconds of loading. Playing it while forcing transcoding (through the context menu) does seem to work, but I seem to remember it didn't work with Luke Cage. I've tried different versions of the episode but they all react the same way (= they do nothing). Edit: For clarification, the rest of the episodes that I've tried do seem to work fine. Any ideas? embyserver.txt Edited November 7, 2018 by markdj
Luke 42077 Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Hi, I imagine @@Angelblue05 will also want to see the Emby for Kodi log. Thanks. 1
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 @@markdj Please provide your Kodi log. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/
markdj 49 Posted November 9, 2018 Author Posted November 9, 2018 Had another one today. I'm currently out of the house but will post the log tomorrow.
markdj 49 Posted November 10, 2018 Author Posted November 10, 2018 Here's the log: https://paste.kodi.tv/sulikobamu It happens with episode 5 of Grey's Anatomy as well. It should be in the log. The other episodes work fine. Network paths are correct, I've reset and repaired the database but that didn't help either.
highonascii 43 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Could be corrupted files and nothing to do with emby. Just my observation... Have you tried redownloading files from a different source maybe? Worth a shot if they dont notice anything wrong in logs. Cheers!
markdj 49 Posted November 10, 2018 Author Posted November 10, 2018 I've tried different versions but it doesn't matter, they don't play.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Kodi seems to complain about opening the file itself. If the path is correct then it's not the add-on itself. For this time only, can you disable emby for kodi logging and enable kodi debug. Play episode 5 again. Post a new log. Hopefully it will tell us why Kodi can't open that specific file. Everything looks ok to me. The only thing I can think of is some permission issue...
markdj 49 Posted November 11, 2018 Author Posted November 11, 2018 Hope I did it alright: https://paste.kodi.tv/ewajovuhof Permissions should be okay, I checked them as well before posting here 1
markdj 49 Posted November 11, 2018 Author Posted November 11, 2018 Well, I reset the permissions for these specific files and that seemed to help. Weird. But problem solved 1
