Hello,

I wanted to update my emby server but I can't. Because there is no .deb file for my system on https://emby.media/linux-server.html.

Here is my console output:

dpkg: error: requested operation requires superuser privilege
tlgcntn@bluebird:~$ sudo dpkg -i emby-server-deb_3.5.0.0_amd64.deb

I have a netbook (not notebook) that I used with 32bit cpu and 2gb ram as home server. I'm using this server for running emby-media, nextcloud, rtorrent/rutorrent etc. I'm happy for now :) Also my cpu is not supporting 64bit OS.

You was supporting 32bit linux before a few months. Don't you supporting 32bit emby anymore? Can't I update my emby from "repo" or somewhere?

Thanks but it did not worked. I download 3.5.0.0

wget https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/raw/3.5.0.0/theater/mbt.zip

I unzipped it and copied (without .config files) to /usr/lib/emby-server/bin. Here is bin directory after copying.

But I wanted to restart emby-media service. It did not started.

How did you end up with mbt.zip? that was not mentioned anywhere. It's the mono zip that you want.

Didn't worked. Probably I could not handle this. Sorry.
Your supports is amazing. Thank you.

I used mono zip file on my last attemp. emby-server service restarted successfully but the service has been stopped immediately after restarted successfully.

What version of the mono runtime are you on?

Hey there, I really understand you are no longer suporting 32 bits to add new features, trouble shooting or recient activity over that specific hardware platform but you erased debian x86 precompiled binaries... and is only accesible the mono package.... Why would you do that??

HI, what makes you think we did that? There was never a dotnet runtime for linux 32-bit, therefore 32-bit support was always mono-based.

Really sorry, its been really frustrating try tommake this runn as it would be. As i used to before there never existed  a binary for debain just a couple of .deb files to get this running ? I could let it run the mongo based 3.5 but the newer versions are getting me too hard to cause Im using a different architecture mono based emby... there is a newer version than that old 3.5 mono based for debian ? Im actually running debian 12 on an old compaq C110 but its becoming hard to run lot of old school apps I trully used long time ago.

PD: Please any helpful info or suggestions are wellcome.

I think your best bet is to plan a path towards having a 64-bit architecture. It sounds like it will make things a lot easier for you with other software besides Emby.
