Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 (edited) I have a DTS-MA file that I play as an into. Problem is that I get video and no audio. Windows 10 built in player plays it just fine. I have tried playing it from Emby through the web browser and all I get is a spinning circle and nothing ever happens. I attached a picture of what stats for nerds says while it is playing. Luke 42078 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Have you configured the audio settings in the app?
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Yes, and any movie that are DTS-MA play just fine.
Guest asrequested Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Does it play with refreshrate switching, turned off?
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Does it play with refreshrate switching, turned off? Yes it does! Now the question is why? Thanks for the suggestion
Guest asrequested Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 You'll need to post the mpv log, so that the devs can look at what's happening. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/50975-how-to-enable-mpv-logging-for-theater/
Guest asrequested Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 (edited) There's a whole bunch of audio shenanigans going on in there. But it looks like your default audio device is optical. That doesn't support the audio. What are your audio settings in Theater? Guest asrequested Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 And what is your speaker config and windows audio config?
Guest asrequested Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 What cable are you using connecting your receiver to your computer?
Guest asrequested Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 (edited) If it's HDMI, then the refresh rate switching is dumbfounding mpv's ability to find your receiver as the default player. And if you're using HDMI, then put this line in the mpv.conf that you made for the logging. Just put it above the logging command. audio-device=wasapi/(TX-NR5007 (Intel(R) Display Audio)) Edited July 5, 2018 by Doofus
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 It is HDMI yes. Fully all other video files play fine. Also found the turning off the frame rate switching fixes the line of the desk top showing at the bottom of the screen.
Guest asrequested Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Yeah, that's been reported. But put that line in your mpv.conf, and try again.
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 I will buy don't know if I will get to it tonight.
Mopar_Mudder 14 Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 Tried it and still no audio. Attached new log Theater mpv log.txt
Guest asrequested Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 It looks like refresh rate switching is causing the default device to not be found. The devs are gong to have to take a look.
