Im running Emby server from a qnap nas, which reeds 3 raspberry's.

im upgraded the PI's to Leia (though ive had this problem on kodi 17)

example...

i have a root dir "Simpsons" and i add simpsons.s01e01

emby picks this up fine.

now i make a folder "season.1" under :Simpsons and move simpsons.s01e01 to this new folder.

Emby picks this up fine, but now im left with 2 of the same show "simpsons.s01e01" in the raspberry. But if i browse the emby server through the web interface, its updated correctly there.

is this a bug or am i missing a setting somewhere that cleans up the missing show from the raspberry?

We'll see what @@Angelblue05 thinks. Thanks.

thanks.

ive always had this issue since using emby (couple of months now), and the only way to fix it, is doing a database reset on kodi.

Have you checked out the newer EmbyCon addon? It doesn't require any syncing process, it's just sign in and browse like the web app:

Thanks.

no i havent, as i dont think that will really suit my needs.

what differances would there be between running the embycon and emby add-on for kodi?

Posted

The primary difference is that it's just a lot simpler so that you'll never have to worry about this sort of thing. The Emby for Kodi syncing add-on will allow you to use any Kodi skin but comes with the complexity of having to manage the sync process.

Sorry that I missed your original post, I don't normally check the raspberry pi forums.

So you are saying, items are being moved but they are not removed in Kodi? Is this isolated to when the modification happens when Kodi is not running. Or does it happen when Kodi is already running. A Kodi log would be great to capture this issue. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/

just tried embycon, and defently not what i like, having to actually load the plugin to browse the media. where as emby looks and feels like kodi running with a local database

Ok can you provide a Kodi log (you can also pm if you feel that's better), capturing this scenario so I can see what Emby for Kodi is doing? Thank you.

Which version of emby for kodi are you running now? Are you on server 3.6x?

Posted

I've just grabbed 3.1.15a, and will give it test again.

Will report back soon.

Do a repair of your libraries/or reset your local database if you haven't yet (if you were on a version lower than 3.1.13a).

The server event for removing items changed a bit, so I needed to make a few adjustments.

Posted (edited)

Yep doing a repair on the TV section now.

Done a full delete of all libraries this morning too.

I should have an answer for you shortly.

Is this to do with the pooling fix you added to .15a?

Angelblue05

Hmmm, do you have series pooling on your server (where content is split between different locations)

Posted

No I don't.

But I just ran some tests, and looks like you've fixed the issue.

That's much better, and a huge thanks ;)

Think I spoke to soon.

Some seem to work, while others aren't.

Can you post your kodi log? What exactly are you doing and what is the issue you are seeing? Thanks.
