How to use Harmony remote with web app

I've successfully used a Harmony remote with WMC and Emby for years, I still find the WMC nice and clean, but it doesn't seem to get the love that it once had

 

 

Am I correct in thinking the web app (http://192.168.1.64:8096/web/home.html) is the most current way to view our content on a htpc

I'm thinking of putting and Android tv box and a firestick running Emby around the house and in order to have a more streamlined experience perhaps it's time to move up/over to the web app.

 

​BUT the big thing that has stopped me switching is the Harmony One doesn't move around in the way the app is designed.
​For example it doesn't moved left and right through the epg.

 

Am I missing a setting or do I need to buy a new kind of remote.

 I would say, for Windows it's best to use Emby Theater, for an Android Box there's Emby for Android TV and then there's Emby for Amazon Fire TV.

 

All should work pretty well with a remote, I'm using the same remote with Emby Theater that I used with Emby for WMC (also I had to remap some buttons, to get more/full functionality).

If you want to use it with the web app you can do that with the emby theater web app

Any Idea what you needed to remap? As you know it needs unplugging and testing each time you make changes....Very time consuming!

Well, I have an MCE compatible remote connected to the USB port and all information about remapping the functions can be found here.

 

My Harmony remote is more or less configured as standard Microsoft Mediacenter Remote, as the remapping happens on the windows box running emby theater.

 

All keyboard shortcuts that are supported by ET (and other apps) are described here, so you just take this list and map all functions you want/need to whatever buttons you like.
