MB Rich 4 Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 Groovy. I'll take a look, tonight. Did you try my suggestion of using auto-copyback? Just tried it now and exactly the same (log attached for reference). I may have spoken too soon about it playing with NO HW acceleration. Seems like the playback is actually okay without it (I was testing it with a jerky / odd scene - stupid). However I'd really rather have HW acceleration on as this is currently my server as well, and using HW for decoding drops the CPU from 40% to 20% leaving more room for handling / transcoding for other clients. (oh and btw, when I was testing I was the only client of the server, i.e. no transcoding going on elsewhere) theatermpvlog-Auto.txt
Guest asrequested Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 It almost sounds like HWA is not being engaged. The logs will show me what it's trying to do. I'll check them, tonight. It may also be an audio issue. That can cause things like this, too.
Guest asrequested Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 (edited) Ok, so in the first log, it looks ok. It shows that it's using HWA [vd] Using hardware decoding (d3d11va).
