Channel order after m3u tuner import

Emby server Version 3.2.50.0 and Version 3.2.60.0 x64 on Ubuntu

I experience that the channels with numbers (channel-id numbers) in the m3u playlist are sorted last in the Emby web livetv guide and with Emby Theater on windows. This happens after the m3u playlist have been imported into Emby from Live tv --> M3u tuner import.

My Emby web client settings use sort by channel number.

The channels with numbers are placed last in the tvguide in both Emby web client and in Emby Theater on windows.

The first entry in my m3u playlist

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="1" logo="https://images.hbcdn.uk/channel/logo/1879/nrk1.nrk.no.png" tvg-id="1879.honeybee.it",NRK1

Any advice?

Have you tried clicking on the channel name, like ZEE TV in your example above, going to that channel listing, then clicking on the three dots menu and clicking on Edit Info, then adding a Sort Title ?

No idea if it'll work, but could try it for one channel ?

Thanks for replying @@arrbee99.

Tried it for Zee Tv. Added "Sort Title" number 30. The result is that Zee Tv channel do not get the channel number 30 i the tvguide.

Oh well, am only guessing really.

So guess number two - if you made one or two of the m3u channels a favorite (with the heart), would it go to the top then ?

You guessed right @@arrbee99. I tried setting Nrk1 and Nrk2 as favorite and it worked.

This is a nice workaround, but I think the Emby developers must take a look at channel sorting when importing m3u because it should not be like this.

Interesting. Handy to know. Though If you're into these m3u lists favoriting channels by the dozen doesn't really appeal. Must admit so far I've been happy to have DVB-S stuff first and IPTV stuff after anyway, and my DVB-S stuff has channel numbers displayed as well.

Luke said somewhere LiveTV channel  management is getting a going over soon, though soon has yet to be defined.
