Which server version are you om?

Hi denywinarto,

Try updating to 3.2.40 manually.

I had to install 3.2.40 on top of 3.2.36, as .40 wasn't detected as available update on my Windows pc.

It's been running ok for me since .40.

The installer on  https://emby.media/windows-server.html is 3.2.40?

@ denywinarto:

Any stability improvements with 3.2.40 ?

Edit: Mine seems to do nicely for now

It seems Emby server for Windows, version 3.2.60 is out.

Like with the recent releases, the automatic update does not work.

For 3.2.60, erven a manual install fails with a popup saying something about a backup failing.

My emby claims to be up-to-date, but the server is running 3.2.50 or so.

I think the auto update feature needs a little care and attention :)

The previous announcement/post still applies, update from download page.  As for your failed update, either Emby is hasn't shut down in a timely manner or something is holding system folder.

Here's what I went through. Server would shut down because it couldn't finish (restart) the update. So, downloaded from website. Tried to install, got security message I could not install. So, more checking around to solve that. Found out the ClickOnce settings (.NETFramework/Security\TrustManager\PromptingLevel) were all set to Disabled. Changed all but Untrusted sites to Enabled. Then tried Restart from Web Interface. Watched the colored circles for 5 minutes and gave up on Restart. Went back to download, got another security message, though with option to run. Installed alright, but got message a further Restart was needed for XML something or the other. So, hit Restart, and voila, it restarted. Seems to have solved the problem with Server shutting down.

This is the first time I've had a problem with an auto-update, as well as the first time I've gotten the security message when trying to install something from the Web, so I don't know if the two are connected. That it wouldn't let me run the installer though, seems to point to the ClickOnce settings as being the culprit. To check yours: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\.NETFramework\Security\TrustManager\PromptingLevel (more info: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee308453.aspx )

Further, I'm on Win 7 Pro 64-bit.
