giacombum 1 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I've read this post https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/47838-kodi-suddenly-not-connecting-to-server/ and unfortunately it seems to me that I'm experiencing the same issue on LibreELEC 8.1.1 with Kodi 17.4 on my Odroid C1+. Yesterday Kodi found my Emby server and had sync all my media, today it doesn't find the server... I've tried to "reset" the Emby add-on, so I've chosen to come back to default values of Emby add-on setup. I've rebooted LibreELEC but the problem still persists, so I've added a 5 seconds delay for the Emby add-on startup but the problem doesn't solve... Obviously the Emby server is reachable from another pc that belongs to the same network, so the problem is Kodi... Does I've to apply the fix described in the topic https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/47838-kodi-suddenly-not-connecting-to-server/ ?

giacombum 1 Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Sorry, I hope this will help kodi.log
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) I think in LibreElec there's a setting somewhere to delay until the network is ready. Seems like that is your problem. I think it's called wait for network. According to some other post on google: LibreELEC Settings->Network->"Wait for network before starting Kodi" Edited November 3, 2017 by Angelblue05 1

I think it's called wait for network. According to some other post on google: LibreELEC Settings->Network->"Wait for network before starting Kodi" Ok, I try this option, but I think that the problem isn't related to this: also when network is available (I can use a liveTV plugin), Emby doesn't find the server... When I come back to home I try your option and then I report if I've solved the problem or not. 1
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Well I checked your log. It seems to not work, then 15 seconds later, it was able to find your server. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This afternoon I've added the option "Wait for network before start kodi"... but it seems it doesn't help... How much I've to wait to reach the server? Maybe is there any problem in my emby setup? kodi.log Edited November 3, 2017 by giacombum
giacombum 1 Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Now I obtain a connection refused also from my smartphone or my pc... But i I go on freenas page, the emby jail is running, and also emby plugin is ok... Maybe is there a problem with emby server on freenas configuration... Can you help me? Inviato dal mio Nexus 5 utilizzando Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 I'm not sure why it's returning Connection refused. Nothing really changed in the code. I reversed a few lines of code but it would definitely not cause this. Something server side is preventing you from connecting. I'd suggest you check your server logs to see when trying to connect in Kodi, if there's any clue as to what the issue might be. This is not a client side issue. And with the option enabled (wait for network), it seems to have fixed your previous issue. You no longer see Network is unreachable.
giacombum 1 Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 Can you suggest me a complete and comprehensive wiki for emby server configuration on freenas? Do I have to open 8096 port on the emby server IP (different from freenas IP) from my home router? Thanks in advance Inviato dal mio Nexus 5 utilizzando Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Post here, explain your situation, you'll probably need to provide your server log: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/forum/122-freebsd/
