i was looking for ways to improve the Live TV channel listing. to me it just lacks information which results in many clicks back and forth.

for example. viewing a channel on the grid.. it doesn't even show the time of what is being aired. have to click the channel, then if you want to see if it's a repeat or new airing you have to click the listing.

then while viewing the listing for a specific channel it only shows the time it starts/started. it doesn't show the end time, whether it's a repeat, or even a brief description of the show. this information can be found viewing the guide, but what about when viewing a specific channel?

another one of my peeves is if you view a specific channel listing, and you were half way down the page and click back after you were viewing the airing, you start again at the top of the list having to scroll all the way back down to where you were viewing.

emby really could use some kind of theme support, so people can just alter the layout of information. it's like everything is hardcoded and a nightmare to even try to customize any of this.. just found a lot of wasted areas for adding some bits of imformation here and there that makes the UI more feature rich and reduce the amount of repetive clicking.

hope to start seeing some improvements in the web UI. hate to say,. but Plex had a late start to Live TV you guys were way ahead, but now they are quickly stepping up the game in the Live TV portion, which they added a few months ago. combined with their live tv guide data, it fills up the TV with pretty TV listing images.. i will mentioned that i was a former plex user and switched over for emby specifucally for the live tv portion.

it's really nice how you guys are always making improvement to the backend part of emby, but after a year or so, i've yet to see any real improvement in the web interface.

being a former web developer for 15 years. i share a tip: pay attention to the small details, it makes all the difference. ;)

This is a channel view, not a program view. If programs are what you want they why not just use the "On Now" section? Perhaps we are guilty of offering too many ways of getting to the same thing. I suppose if we didn't have the Channels tab to begin with, you would have naturally used "On Now" to begin with, right?

The scroll issue on back will be resolved for the next release.
