XML Metadata plugin stopped working after upgrade to 3.2.30.0

I'm still using legacy .xml files for metadata, so I depend on the XML Metadata plugin.
A library scan runs with success, but no metadata is loaded into Emby.
I see the popups like "new episode discovered" - so they are found.

New movies can be played in Emby for WMC as they also are visible in the Emby GUI.
It is just the metadata missing, ie. episode name, description and so on.

Having done a bit more digging - might not be connected to 3.2.30.0 ....

Replaced "System" directory with emby.windows.zip version 2.2.24.0 (where I came from) and the problem persists.

But I have not touched cache nor data, so I don't know if I'm really back to where I came from.

Tried to rebuild a library from scratch - it contains a mix of movies and series.

Defined it is as type "Movie" which has Emby XML as metadata reader and no Internet fetching.

After rebuild all mediafiles were placed at toplevel, ie. no series recognized - all seen as movies.

But maybe that is as it's supposed to be?

Episode names still not read from metadata xml-files.

Removed it and rebuilt as "mixed content". How to I BTW define readers for that ?.

Now the structure is back (ie. series are OK) but all items of courese have lost their episode/local names.

Since this is new issue - most of the movies/episodes had the content responding to the metadata xml-files.

It seems like the episodes names are the name of the mediafile.

And the overview is taken from the mediafile property "Program Description".

The attached logfile contains the above flow with debug.

Thanks for your info!

Sorry, I had missed that topic .

And there is no way to fall back ?

Replacing the System directory with an older version did no good.

Not really as plugins are usually updated with every build.  So downgrading would require fining the right version that works with that build.  So having a system backup is sometimes the last resort.

I actually backup MediaBrowser-Server - so I'll give a try.

But, anyway - I suppose it will be solved eventually.

As I understand it, you have it running in the dotnet beta.

Correct as shown in my screenshots.

Sorry if I miss something - can't see any screenshots in my Browser (which I have been using).

When looking in Tapatalk I can see a screenshot from a netstat.

But, anyway - got the message, thanks.

I'll test my backup/restore. If it works, fine :-)

Under all circumstances I'll just follow the issues.

Of course willing to test, if needed.

Up and running again after the restore - metadata looking nice again :-)

@Happy2Play: thanks for informing - and sorry not seeing you screenshots - guess I were a bit too busy at the time.
