Emby plug in 2.3.49 Suddenly when I enter my movies via home screen I am getting an additional screen as per photo with further choices, same as I have in sub menu. I do not want this option ,has it been added in update? Can it be removed? Hope some kind person can help? Thankyou.

CAS 1 Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 Hi I have recreated the shortcut and also reinstalled app, the shortcut nodes have changed though and i cannot what ever i try get past this second menu screen appearing. So when adding short cut i would get this screen adding the movie folder worked just great. Now i have just "Emby" when clicking through this i get "movies" but not the Emby "Movies" as above but the Kodi icon.If i point the short cut to this i get the sub menu screen before i see my movie list? Hope this makes sense?
hstamas 179 Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 From the looks of things it seems like the plugin is not communicating with the server. I usually only see those few nodes when it cant communicate with the server.

Please provide your Kodi log trying to repeat the steps to reproduce your issue. CAS 1 Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 hi so disabled all firewalls on both server and client i have reset emby database and resynced still getting extra screen on shortcuts and the emby nodes are the same as before please find log attached thanks again. kodi.log

Yes it's normal, we changed the shortcuts almost a year ago, so they are under Emby, but instead of being named Emby Movies, Emby TV Show, etc. They just take the name of your library in Emby. So you'd point your shortcut to Videos > Emby > Movies, for example. Yes recreated shortcut over and over. But still get the screen as above on first post when clicking on shortcut. I'll have to see if I have the same issue with other skins. Anyway, when creating your shortcuts, select Add-ons > Video add-ons > Emby add-ons > Then your shortcut entry. You'll want to make sure the action starts with ActivateWindow(Videos,... . If it says ActivateWindow(Music,... you'll need to edit the action by clicking it, scrolling at the bottom > Custom item, then you can move the cursor with the on-screen keyboard and edit Music for Videos. If it shows up with labels as numbers, rather than title, this means the skin defaulted the shortcut to Music type instead of Videos. @@marcelveldt Do you have any idea how I can resolve this minor but annoying issue with video nodes? Ahh Yes id got that far just couldn't get passed the number list or sqaure view! Now thats changed from music to Videos in the target it works good again. thanks for the assistance @Cas 1
