Problem with Emby in LibreELEC 8 / KODI 17

Hello experts,

 

 

I have problems trying to get Emby Server working in KODI 17, on a ODROID C2 running LibreELEC 8.1.2  (up-to-date 'kzsaq' build).

I installed Emby addon from official LibreELEC repo, it installed without error  (result: Emby addon + Mono addon).

In KODI / Addons i can see the Mono addon icon, but there's no Emby icon at all.

I can find Emby addon by searching for it in "my addons", but there's no option to configure it except one..

 

Emby Server was still installed because i can access to the URL http://<odroid>:8096 page.

It's up and running.  I can add libraries in the web portal, in LibreELEC OS the "mono" process is up.

 

But, nothing in KODI at all.

 

I don't know what to do now.

I already tried to uninstall the Emby addon from LibreELEC then reinstall it from official Emby repo, but it's the same problem.

 

 

To be honest, I'm not really sure to what team i should expose my problem (Team from: LibreELEC? KODI? ODROID?)

@@Angelblue05, any tips? He says he installed the add-on. I guess you should probably add your kodi log which you can learn how to do here:

Are you able to launch the Emby for Kodi add-on? If so, try doing a local database reset.

I think you're confusing two different addons.

 

One is the emby addon from the libreelec repo, which is the emby server. That's the one you access at port 8096 and manage your library. But that's just it, the server. Nothing else. No interface in kodi or anything. Just a headless server.

 

And then there is the emby for kodi addon that you get from the emby repo. That is the client. The client will connect to the server and sync the emby library with the local kodi library.

 

If you don't already have an emby server running on a different computer but you want to use emby as the backend, you need to install both of those addons. In the server, set up your library (through the web page at port 8096) and then use the client to connect to it.

I can confirm that now everything is Ok.  I installed the Kodi addon  "Emby for kodi" too.
