nagetech 69 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 This is going to be hard to explain but I'm going to try my best. I have a movie called "Get Shorty" I Ripped it from a BluRay disc to put on my server. When I did it and added it, Emby monitor picked it up and did what it had to do. It got the movie cover, metadata, etc. GREAT Now when my brother went looking for it to play it, he went under "G" and could not find it there for the life of him. I thought he was just being stupid..... so I went looking for it under my Roku, Xbox1 & web app, and sure as hell, Get Shorty is NOT where it is suppose to be Alphabetically. Odd I thought... If I fire up the search or Look up Danny DeVito, I can find the movie that way...... I thought ok maybe something with the Meta Data..... So I went to Meta Data Manager, and the movie is just NOT there! I've been using Emby for a LONG time, so I'm quite familiar with it and know I'm looking in the right place. I even did a CTRL-F and looked for "get Shorty" & "getshorty" and it's not there.... I went back to just plain search, found the movie and Looked at its Meta Data Info, and it's all correct in there..... so to be honest I'm a little lost and confused on this one... Is there a bug or something I just discovered/ I'm not sure if this is happening with another movie ( I have far too many to test) but know for sure this movie is acting up. I even re-ripped it, added it to the library again, and still same results....... Thanks!
ebr 16190 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Is it by any chance added to a collection and you are collapsing them in the views?
nagetech 69 Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 I can go check on that, this may sound like a stupid question, but, what would be the easiest way to see what collection it belongs too if any? I didn't se that entry in "get shorty" meta data Thanks for the response.
nagetech 69 Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 Thanks for answering Luke! I'll have to go through them all to see if I can find it... Just throwing an idea @@Luke .... maybe in the movie meta data info a section that shows if the movie is part of a collection for faster/easier look up? Just an idea
ebr 16190 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Thanks for answering Luke! I'll have to go through them all to see if I can find it... nagetech 69 Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 Ah ok looks like it's already been requested Then I guess it's up to Luke to implement I'll wait patiently. Can't rush a good job Let me know when you guys roll it out!
CharleyVarrick 283 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 @@nagetech while devs are actively implementing reverse collection lookup, you might want to look in your movie collections for something called Chili Palmer Collection... 1
nagetech 69 Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 Thanks for that answer! You were absolutely right!! Man that reverse function will be great once the devs release it Wouldve made this way easier 1
CharleyVarrick 283 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Glad it could help you, I just searched for "Get Shorty" over at themoviedb.org and found over there its part of Chili Palmer... 1
