Jdiesel 1431 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 For a lot of us setting up the perfect media experience brings us more joy than the actual media that we consume. Whether it be collecting and meticulously organizing the perfect collection of media or perfecting the visual/auditory experience. Was there a point where you took a step back from your goal of perfection and realized and appreciated what you have accomplished? For me it has been a long process over many years of collecting and organizing all my favorite movies, shows, music, and books. Upgrading my home theater over time as my budget allowed to the point where I now have a dedicated media room. Finally, now with software like Emby I am able to take my collection on the go and share it with family and friends. Other than minor wants like new ways to rate, suggest, and share recommendations of the media I don't really have anything else I feel I need. I guess what I am getting at is that I have finally reached the point where I am content with what I have and am able to really appreciate it. Anyone else reach their media nirvana? If not what are you missing? 2

Guest asrequested Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Must resist 4K projector Give in to the urge. Scratch that itch ..... and feel the elation
Swynol 375 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 It's true, i spend more time tinkering with my setup than actually watching anything, or if I am watching something then i'm usually on the laptop working out what i can buy next for it.
zigzagtshirt 55 Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 I was content. Then something called 4K happened. Ugh.
