Smasher 3 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Same here... when using Emby Server 3.2.13 on windows, and Kodi (emby backend), playback stops randomly, after 10-20 min. Big pause with buffer issues.. or sometimes even an error, saying the source read is too slow. I have downgraded to 3.2.12, all working perfectly again Sorry, don't have a log.
Luke 42086 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Hi there @@Jeffpyn, can you please discuss a specific example, making sure to mention what you attempted and at what time, and then please attach the emby server log for that time. thanks ! Additionally, please try removing the Cover Art and Kodi sync plugins and see if that helps with your load times. Thanks !

Jeffpyn 1 Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 Thanks for the quick response, removing Cover Art and Kodi sync plugins did seem to improve the load times, For the log file above, I simply restarted the server, went to wired computer, opened chrome, then opened emby , tried play back a recording, waited 30sec to 1 min. then restarted the server. hoping I would capture the error before the log got too large due to repeated socket error
Jeffpyn 1 Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 Test 2 here is a log file where I was able to get emby theater to jump out of playback by FF a couple times (cover art and Kodi sync uninstalled) Restarted server went to different computer started emby theater (wirelessly connected, my unscientific testing by transfering large file show subatained transfer rates of 75 to 100 mbps) started playback of the flash FF the flash watch the flash for a few secs FF the flash again emby jump back to the resume / play screen tried to resume the flash saw the spinning circle and then went to the normal playback view but had a black sceen exited emby theater Hopefully this is the kind of info you are looking for, I am not as technical as some server-63628990819.txt
Luke 42086 Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 Ok, if this is just related to Emby Theater, it's going to be getting a brand new video player very soon, which will be much more stable and perform much better. This doesn't look like anything server related as far as I can tell. If you'd like to try out the Emby Theater update, you can do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/46763-theater-mpv-test/ Thanks !
