When i do this manual over contextmenu ist works. Are there Problems with trakt and emby Addon ? Im the only one how had this problem ? Greets, Newcomer
hstamas 179 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Are you talking about the Trakt pop up that happens after a movie finishes allowing you to rate it? If yes, I believe you have to have the Trakt add-on installed on your Kodi client machine for it to work that way. The server plugin is only for syncing and scrobbling. What I do is have the Kodi scrobble and sync ratings but turn everything else off. Don't have it sync watched status etc. Let the server plugin do that. Works well for me.

Im sorry if the language barrier is confusing things but in your original post you say its not working and here you say "movie or Episode works fine". ?

Yes, now after i use emby addon it will not work anymore. Bevor i used emby addon it works fine for both. Better i hope ?
hstamas 179 Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) When you play a movie, go to the trakt website on another device and see if its reporting that a movie is being played (scobbled) so we now that the add-on is actually working. When you set up the add-on did you choose Add-on or Direct for your path selection? If you chose Add-on, make sure that in the Trakt plugin you don't have exclude checked under HTTP sources. Also I believe there is an option in the Emby for Kodi config to play back via HTTP instead of smb. If you are using Direct playback make sure that is unchecked just in case. I talked to the trakt addon auto, and he means emby may broke this. He has looked at my log.

There is currently a bug in the Emby for Kodi add-on that prevents the reporting of video being played to the server. This would definitely affect Trakt as well. See here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/44807-krypton-not-reporting-play-status-to-server/ You said you have the Trakt plugin installed on your client though so Im not sure this applies but its worth looking into. Post #62 on the link above has a workaround download that seems to fix the issue. Fingers crossed that this fix is incorporated into the master branch of the plugin as the person who seem to be in charge of maintaining the Emby for Kodi add-on announced that he does not have the time to fix the issue.
