Ubuntu 14.04 help !

I have tried and tried and cant get emby to install - what am i doing wrong ?

 

i have ran the following

sudo sh -c "echo 'deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_14.04/ /' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/emby-server.list"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install emby-server

i get this and emby server wont start , fine on windows all working great

 

"Cannot open assembly /usr/lib/emby-server/bin/MediaBrowser.Server.Mono.exe : No Such file or directory"

 

"Starting emby-server daemon /usr/lib/emby-server/ : No such file or directory

Did you do this?

 

wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:emby/xUbuntu_14.04/Release.key

sudo apt-key add - < Release.key

sudo apt-get update

 

Then: sudo apt-get install emby-server  ?

 

 

Why 14.04 btw?

Yea makes sure to run all of the required installation commands. To locate the commands for your distro, check out the download page of our website:

 

https://emby.media/linux-server.html

sudo apt-get update

 

Then: sudo apt-get install emby-server  ?

 

 

Why 14.04 btw?

 

hosted dedicated server - 14.04 has been on for a while and don't want to lose my library by reinstalling  , and yes I have added the release key

Yes followed the instructions , still unable to start the emby-server service , keep getting

 

starting emby-server daemon ..... fail

Have you checked if the file or directory exists?
