Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Roku/DVP-7.0 Have you tried updating the firmware?
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 It's a Now Tv box... emby is sideloaded onto it. Not sure if I can update the firmware on that
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Which app and version number is sideloaded?
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Emby sideloaded is version 2.2 - build 5... haven't been able to find any newer version to sideloaded on nowtv
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Hey Luke... yes... the other videos that I have played do work... it's only the MP4 that is not working ...
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Only one MP4 or all MP4 files won't play?
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 All MP4 videos don't play... the screen just flashes and that's it ....

Luke 42077 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Maybe this one should be transcoding. Do you have any that say AVC Yes? Try one of those. thanks.
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 13, 2017 Solution Posted February 13, 2017 Only thing I could think to try is the "Theme: blue neon night" app. 1
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 The snapshot has been taken from the windows 7 .. which is my emby server aswell. @@Luke .... transcoding is set to auto... do i need to do anything on that @@Happy2Play... will try the neon theme and update in a bit
Luke 42077 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 I think this video should be transcoding, not direct playing. We just have to find the right criteria to use to determine that. Thanks.
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 @@Happy2Play... blue neon ... the video works for 3-5 seconds and then goes baco to the screen where the option to play is there.
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 @@Luke... even when i force transcode , the same thing happens.
Luke 42077 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 @@Luke... even when i force transcode , the same thing happens. In that case it's completely different so please start over with a new set of logs. thanks.
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 attached new logs. Log-neon.txt
naveedquadri 0 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Hey guys.... Its working now.... I gues the blue neon night app did the trick... even though it wasnt working ... but the age old trick of restarting my win7 (Which is my emby server)... in conjuction made the world a happy place again .. thanks guys... you are awesome...
