happpyg 20 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I am having some issues playing some of my older AVI files taken with older mobile phones etc in my Home videos & photos library. Newer movie AVI's etc seem to be ok but I have a heap of these older ones that don't work in the web console or IOS however they do play fine in Emby Theatre? Several logs attached. The video was called "Yardie Creek Crossing" Thanks! server-63618949593.txt ffmpeg-transcode-7f94da61-3469-44de-afe5-b2ec74fbd211.txt ffmpeg-transcode-59e6b68e-7b89-4ef4-be2b-a3ec7061ecd2.txt ffmpeg-transcode-fbf560d2-48bb-4f14-89b0-527b64ddef09.txt ffmpeg-transcode-76117719-0c67-4aa2-b9b6-7cea83e7d7be.txt ffmpeg-transcode-87518683-e25f-4b3e-b6b3-18a83561119d.txt
Luke 42083 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 hi there, can you provide a sample video for testing? thanks !
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) @@Luke Isn't this the same issue with MJPEG? Emby doesn't see the video track. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/28739-mjpg-pcm-avi-dashcam-videos-dont-work/ Edited January 2, 2017 by Happy2Play
Luke 42083 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Possibly, but another test file would still be useful.
happpyg 20 Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Sure Luke, grab here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cpqbv6i13ai0n9p/Yardie%20Creek%20Crossing.AVI?dl=0
happpyg 20 Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 @@Luke, did that download link work ok? Thanks
Luke 42083 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Incidentally I've already made an unrelated change that now allows this to be playable, albeit without video. now we need to determine from the probe data how to differentiate between mjpeg embedded image vs mjpeg video stream.
happpyg 20 Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Great, thanks Luke, i'll wait for you to work your majic. Is there a reason it does play in Emby Theatre ok?
