pt1xoom 12 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I want to try the setting Enable in-network sign in with my easy pin code, but the check box is not saving. When I click on the box and click save, the screen refreshes and the box is not clicked. When I try to enter a PIN and click save, the circle comes up and just circles. It never saves. I have tried this on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Server 3.1.2 (Debian) Please see server log attached. Log (1).txt
Happy2Play 9814 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 On Release install on Windows, I didn't have any issues enabling/disabling, setting, logging in, or removing pin. Tried same browser as above.
pt1xoom 12 Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 Oh, maybe a permissions thing. Linux is pretty picky. I'll do some digging and report back.
pt1xoom 12 Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 I'm not going to be able to figure it what permissions need to happen. Maybe it is just a linux problem?
Luke 42252 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 since the log file is large, can you tell us at what times you attempted certain things? either that or produce a new, smaller one. thanks !
pt1xoom 12 Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 Sorry about that. My ip address was 192.168.30.131. It looks like on line 779 at 2016-12-30 18:55:55.5704, I went into users. After that, I tried to modify one of the users with that checkbox. I deleted all the entries earlier in the day. Please let me know if this is what you needed. Log (1).txt
Luke 42252 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 @@fc7 are you able to save a pin code to a user?
pt1xoom 12 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 I reloaded my server with Windows 2012 R2. The same problem still exists. However, I think I figured out why it was working for you guys, but not for me. When I was trying to set this setting, I was click on Users, then clicking on the 3 dots by the user name, then clicked open. When I open the user that way, this setting does not work. I am also not able to set their password. When I click right on the persons head, I can change their password, and I am able to click on that setting, and everything works. So, I am good for this, but the steps on how I "broke" it are above and are repeatable. 1
