ebr 16169 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 The Shield is your best bet. At this point, we can bitstream the "standard" audio formats (DD, DTS). If you need the extended or HD ones then you can also get that with an external player and we will be looking at it in an upcoming release.

barat 27 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Pi2/Pi3 with OSMC are nice too - especially with new Kodi 17 builds with libCEC 4.0.x All depends if You need something powerfull for gaming, or just a box to play movies. Pi has only one drawback - cant do h265/HEVC. For me it's not a problem, because HEVC will be transcoded by my Syno ...
RanmaCanada 494 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Shield is seriously the best. If you can't afford it, either fire tv2 or Mi Box. All of these will direct play pretty much everything.
Lee 212 Posted November 20, 2016 Author Posted November 20, 2016 Tbh rather get a nuc than a shield.. Soooo expensive Sent from my X5pro using Tapatalk
barat 27 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 But for NUC You need to spend few more bucks for PulseEight CEC adapter
Lee 212 Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) But for NUC You need to spend few more bucks for PulseEight CEC adapter MCE IR remote.. For the price of the Shield Celeron with W10 seems a much better deal? http://www.ebuyer.com/720606-intel-nuc-5pgyh-nettop-pc-boxnuc5pgyh0aj Edited November 21, 2016 by Lee
barat 27 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 IR remote = next remote ... what's the point if we have CEC? If someone doesn't want CEC, and thinks about IR remote then maybe KODI+Yatse is better idea?
