Since the Videos are playing on all other systems than the shield, i do not want to reencode everything.

Is there a way for you guys to fix the playback on the apk? Otherwise i might sell the shield and buy something else.

So in conclusion you are telling me that there is no fix for the problem and i paid 6 euro for the app for nothing?

For information, Plex can play all movies on my nvidia shield android TV , kodi can, emby can not?!?

There are a couple of avenues that may help.

 

1) It is possible that a future update to the Google player will support this format.

 

2) If we can figure out why your items are needing to transcode, and eliminate that so they can direct stream, then that may fix it as well.

Hi, with the latest android tv app 1.2.66g the problem seems to be gone. At least so far as i was able to test. I will have an eye on that

Jeah seems to be better now. Still having issues with 4k and high Resolution Audio content
