ravingzeus 14 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) Hi I use emby since couple of months, yesterday I got the message "library synch has exited" So I had to reboot the RPI2 and after the reboot, emby asked me to resynch everything, I changed back all my setting to what I was using before it crashed and now I can't synch anymore, it crashed after 10%-20% approx. I changed setting of cache artwork to 25 to give it a try and no luck. No I would like to upload my LOG, but can'T figure out how to do that. I followed this procedure http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/ but can'T find the XBMC log uploader add-on anywhere. Can someone help me to get my logfile and if you have any solution for my problem let me know. I have 2 other device and they all still working fine.Device are on OSMC Edited June 5, 2016 by ravingzeus
jpimlott 3 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 I am having the same problem with 3 windows 10 computers. At first I thought is was a database change of emby but now all the pcs are doing again.
ravingzeus 14 Posted June 5, 2016 Author Posted June 5, 2016 Ok So, after 5 hours the synch is now completed. System was always crashing while synching, at first at 5% approx, afte around 10%, after around 15%, so each time the system was crashing and the synch was starting over, but was faster during the first percent that was made the synch before it crashed. So, I left the system running, so it went probably 30 times in the synching/crashing process. It finnaly went go through all the synch at one point. Don'T know what is the cause, it'S not fix, I just hope not having to do a full resynch soon, because there is definitly a problem. Still don't know how to get the log file.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) You need to go into the addon settings > sync options > limit artwork cache threads > set it to 25. Caching an uncontrolled amount of artwork is what is causing this issue on Rpi2. If you'd have searched the forums, or read our wiki, you would have easily found the solution. Sorry that I wasn't able to reply sooner, but it should fix the issue if ever you need to reset your database. Edit: I just saw you tried that setting and it didn't work. You'll need to provide your log so we can see why it's crashing during sync. It shouldn't be. Edit 2: https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/check-log-all-addons-failing-to-run/9664 MyOSMC log uploader sounds familiar? Otherwise, I'd just google to see how to get your Kodi log. runtimesandbox 171 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Getting the same issue on a couple of RPI2's. Everytime i sign in to a profile it crashes, only happens on RPI2 and not RPI3. Same setups on all
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 @ We will need a log. The OP is referring to the initial sync process. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ravingzeus 14 Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 I sent you the log in PM, thanks for your help
Ballistic 8 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Also having this same issue. On a Pi2 and on a Odroid C2. Please let me know what can be done to resolve it.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 Try what I said in my previous post #4 (in this thread) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ballistic 8 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 As you already noticed yourself, no limitation settings resolve the issue unfortunately

gstuartj 40 Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) I had this issue and in my case I also had the low voltage icon flashing in the corner during syncs. It would crash before finishing. I bought a good 2.0A power supply from Cannakit for $9 and it's been rock solid ever since. Sometimes the power supply can cause instability even if the low voltage icon doesn't show up, or on lower quality 1.5A+ power supplies. Edited June 15, 2016 by gstuartj
Ballistic 8 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 I have a dedicated (not via usb) 4amp powersupply on my Odroid C2 and still have this issue. @Angelblue05: I have tried lowering the sync settings you mentioned but it did not resolve the issue. This issue is on all ARM systems i tried (6+) I can't image it really working for anyone and seems to be broken all around.
Ballistic 8 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 All I can add is I have it working on my 2 Pi2 devices fine. With what kind of settings Emby plugin settings?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 (edited) Can you post your Kodi log? Maybe your advanced settings is conflicting? A log would hopefully tell us more: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/ Edited June 26, 2016 by Angelblue05
