Force emby to re-download all metadata

Hello,

how can I force emby to re-download all metadata?

I tried deleting both the metadata folder and the cache folder contents, but it doesn't seem that emby downloads new metadata regarding to the metadata manager, which is missing almost all pictures.

Additionally, I'd like to know, how to force emby to fetch descriptions and plots on english? I set both the language and the country to English (UK for country), but I still have German descriptions and plots.

Thirds and last question:

I have a huge mp3 collection, which I'd like to use with emby, but I'm wondering if it can handle it. Actually my collection contains about 70.000 albums - so it's pretty huge. Can emby handle this massive amount of music? Plex couldn't, so that's why im asking :).

Thanks in advance.

Hi, music should be fine.

To refresh, try opening one title in the web app and on the detail screen, click the 3-dot menu -> refresh. If this works for one single title, then proceed to the metadata manager. click on a top level folder -> 3 dot menu in top right -> refresh -> full refresh. unfortunately you won't be able to monitor progress of this, but give it a little time. let us know how it goes. thanks.

Hey,

I tried doing this, but sadly nothing seems to happen at all.

It ran for about 12 hours now and it doesnt seem like it is going any further :(

Hello,

sorry, I don't even know how to start best, since I - sadly - struggle a lot with emby, but I'd really like to use it.

For example, after refresing one series, it somehow grabbed some metadata information, but the seasons ended up like this:

About the server log file:

I took a look at it and I kind of don't want to expose my hostname, IP address etc to all folks. So can I safely PM some of you admins/devs the logfile? Would be really great!

EDIT:
Additionally it just spams the logfile with tons of XML errors

Just for the record:
I found out why the season matching/episode matching on some documentaries went foo bar. Simply because I screwed the directory layout. Appearently it needs directories with Sxx and the episodes in there. (In case somebody comes here using search or anything).

What still remains is the metadata downloading problem.

Sending you the latest log Luke via PM in a zip file.

Thanks in advance.
