Luke 42085 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Hi there, welcome. can you be more specific about what screen exactly is showing you this error? Is this happening in Emby for Kodi, or Emby Server, or somewhere else? Screenshots can be very helpful too. Thanks.
corwin7 0 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 This isn't just a Windows issue, I have a FreeBSD server running Emby, and Arch Linux running Kodi with the plugin. After many many hours of scanning on both the server and kodi client, my movies, tv series, and music show up in kodi. When I click any media I get "Playlist: Can't find a next item to play" and then "Playback failed: One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information about this message.". These two message cycle, first one, then the other.
Luke 42085 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I've never heard of this error. @@Angelblue05 do you know?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Yeah, it usually means Kodi can't locate your files to play them. Post your Kodi log after trying playback: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/
corwin7 0 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 I was able to get around this exact issue for movies and TV by doing two things: #1 making sure there was no MySQL DB set in advancedsettings.xml on Kodi. #2 setting up the nfs direct paths (Library -> Path Substitution) That and about two days of scanning on both the server and Kodi. The LibreElec Raspberry Pi2 Kodi box got maybe a dozen "Emby lost sync please reboot" errors but it seemed to be making progress..
