Movies always disappearing after restart

I made this topic a while ago and didn't get any responses.  Hoping the second time is the charm.

Every time I restart Emby, my movies reset back to a previous number.  I have to rerun media scanner to find the movies again.  This happens every single time without fail, so it's repeatable.  And I have to restart Emby quite often because search will stop functioning.  So any help would be appreciated.  I included 3 logs in chronological order.

Log 1: Immediately after a restart
Log 2: After running media scanner to find the missing movies
Log 3: After another restart and movies missing again

I am actually experience the same thing I have transfered few movies to a nas and on every restart they are gone i have to run scan library again to get them to reappear. I just did it now and they disappeared and I did a scan library and they are back. I am on curent beta. Nas is always on and so is emby.

we should look at the search issue though because you shouldn't be restarting the server for that.

Thank you I have followed your instructions and the libraries are there after restart. @@Luke this only happens when you add two folders to a same media library but it seems fixed with the instructions of @@d00zah.

@@theusedversion, can you provide any more detail about how "search will stop functioning"? A search just fails to find some of the "missing" content which a scan restores? Does one of your server logs include when this happens?

The search problems I encounter are two fold.

1.)  Search doesn't work at all.  I click the search button, type something in, hit enter and it doesn't do anything.  I don't even get the black screen.  It just stays on the current screen.
2.)  Search is slow (like 30min-1hr) slow.  I will search for something and I get the black search screen (and I think the loading circle shows but I'm not positive) but nothing ever comes up.  If I leave this screen up, it will eventually do the search.  In the two times that I have left it up, one took about 30 minutes and the other took about an hour give or take a few minutes as I wasn't watching it like a hawk.  Always figured it had something to do with my large collection.  Next time it happens, I will open another tab and see if any tasks are running but I have tasks to run at night and this happens throughout the day so no idea.

I am actually experiencing problem number 1 right this moment so anything you want me to do, I can.  I won't restart it.  I opened up another tab so I could get a log and it's still stuck so I don't know if it will show you anything.  Just let me know if you want me to do anything specific.  Whoa, just checked the size and the log is quite huge at almost 1.5MBs.  So hopefully something good in there for you.

Here is a photo of number 1 happening.

I see problem 1 whenever the server has restarted without having refreshed the browser page.

I always close the tab and click restart on the icon in the system tray.  Then after it has restarted, I will open another tab and click on the bookmark I have for it.

When search is not responding like that, if you refresh the browser page, does search start working again?

Sorry I missed your reply.  No, it doesn't help.
