yakirp88 3 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 hi there, i am trying to access my server by remote access usind emby for kodi and get message "host unreachable" if i try to connect through web browser than it works perfectly but throuh kodi it is not working. please help e configuring that thanks in advance
xellinus 0 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I had the same problem only to realize that I had typed my ip incorrectly. Simple mistake. Also it's an old solution that may not be as relevant these days but if you're behind a router or firewall make sure you either have exceptions or port forwarding setup as well. Hope this helps.

Angelblue05 4132 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Do not include the http:// nor the port in the primary address field in the emby for kodi add-on settings. Edited February 6, 2016 by Angelblue05
yakirp88 3 Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 still doesnt work new log: http://xbmclogs.com/pargke4dd
Angelblue05 4132 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Your settings are still incorrect: https://http://xx.xx.xx.61:8920:8920/emby/Users/Public?format=json Put your ip address only in the primary server address... and change the port number in the port field. For some reason, you seem to have double http and port.
yakirp88 3 Posted February 6, 2016 Author Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Saw the screenshot. It looks fine. Edited February 6, 2016 by Angelblue05
Angelblue05 4132 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Edit, nvm... I just saw further down the log. Give me a sec.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 @@yakirp88 From your screenshot, it seemed you had the port number still appended at the end of the ip. Remove it. 1
