pmac 143 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) Just out of curiosity, which live TV tuner card do you guys use? I'd like to get into using Live TV with Emby again, but I've only got an old (Non-HD) Hauppauge card. With so many different choices out there, it's hard to know what to buy, and I'd trust the personal experience of Emby users over what I read about different cards via Google. If it makes a difference, I'm not on cable TV, I'm on Bell Satellite (Canada), which has a receiver STB with Component-OUT.Thanks! breezytm 124 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 (edited) The only vendor supported right now is HDHomeRun. It must be a DLNA network tuner . Edited January 16, 2016 by breezytm
pmac 143 Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 Ah, okay. I don't know much about those, I'll have to check it out. Thanks!
pmac 143 Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 Hmm.. It seems HDHomeRun may not be compatible with BellTV, sounds like I might be SOL on the Emby LiveTV front...

I am not very familiar with what tuners work with your setup.
breezytm 124 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I thought he was referring to the builtin live tv feature. And no hdhomerun doesn't work with companies that does not support cable cards unless its ota
Luke 42077 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 @@pmac We now have native Hauppauge support available for testing in the Emby Server beta: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/54560-32609-hauppauge-support/?hl=hauppauge No plugin required. Thanks !
tdiguy 99 Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 If belltv has cablecards a hdhr prime would likely work and it gives you 3 tuners.
