Adding media source location to emby

Hi i am new on Emby and need help on setup.

i am not able to find my media location on emby for " video, music etc"

 

i got following setup:

 

Synology NAS on                                    192.168.1.7

My ubuntu 15.04  PC running emby on  192.168.1.100

both of them connected to router via  Ethernet cable.

 

i am able to map my network Synology video folder but it does not show up in Emby setup.

 

Any help on this will be appreciated.

I have a similar problem. I have connected to the host share using connect to server wizard in Ubuntu 15.04 but cannot add the location in Emby

I am now able to connect to the media folders on a Windows 7 share by following the instruction to create a permanent mount in Ubuntu 15.04 here:

These are Linux forum question I'd say, not emby running on synology issues. But, in the end it will be a permission issue on your shared folders.
