I see emby supports live tv

 

What is needed for this to have?

Any hardware requests?

Is it going through ip?

 

My emby server is running on unraid server

And my client, is kodi on htpc running emby addon

 

What do i need where?

There is no Kodi client for our Live TV yet but this blog post explains the rest of it.

 

I dont see any explanation

No he didn't, he said "there is no kodi client for our live tv yet" and that the post explains "the rest of it" ie what the live tv system DOES do.

No... He said there is no kodi client for our live TV yet ..... But the post he linked to should answer the rest of your original questions

1) You will need to have a DLNA capable tuner and a Schedules Direct Account for EPG.

2/3) See answer above.

You need a TV tuner, currently the hdhomerun will work without any additional plugins or software , but anything else will require an additional backend and corresponding emby live TV plugin. Yes ip is used to transport the streams

Sorry for this "noob" question,  but what is a tv tuner?

You mean a card?

 

I dunno if this works with "telenet" in Belgium

It can be a card, and USB dongle, or a network device like the hdhomerun and connected to your antenna/sat to receive/decode live TV

Not sure here in Belgium

I dont know hdhomerun..

 

Here.. live tv is on cable and a decoder is needed

Well I'm in Australia so i have no idea how it works in Belgium either.... Have you heard of Google in Belgium? You might find some answers there
