SSL problems

Hi there,

 

i've setup a nginx reverse proxy on port 443 pointing to embys https port 8920 with a startssl certificate.

 

if i enter these settings in the kodi addon i do get a popup every second that the emby server is unreachable followed by a emby server is online in a infinte loop.

i can browse the emby library and even play files the log file has several lines stating:

 

"ERROR: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/script.module.requests/lib/requests/packages/urllib3/util/ssl_.py:79: InsecurePlatformWarning: A true SSLContext object is not available. can anyone help me out on this ?

Can you let us know what exact settings you've set in Kodi settings to make it HTTPS? Since you are not using a self-signed certificate created by Emby server, you will need to verify the host certificate.

i have just the Enable HTTPS setting checked. I have attached a screenshot of a ssl certifcate validation checker

In Kodi, do you have Verify Host SSL Certificate enabled?

setting that option does not make a difference on my end, i can still stream but the constant connection/disconnection popup is still going on
