Just to confirm, you launched the emby for kodi add-on > Sync Theme media to Kodi, that didn't work? I believe TV Tunes only work with smart playlists. Try creating a smart playlist in Kodi, and seeing if you get it to work. With Server Version 3.2.27.0 , Movie themes video has stopped with next error:

(Is similar error as Movie Theme songs had, but already fixed with 1.1.5.2)

It's 2017 now I can't seem current info on how to properly implement the video back drops on kodi. I have read on tvtunes but finding it's not been touch a while. And I have try running emby sync. Both direct and stream with no go. So I am wondering if there a current step by step direction on getting it to work on kodi 16 and 17?

do you have the tvtunes addon installed? (sorry your post is unclear) because it is required for theme video to work on kodi and it was removed from the official kodi repo sometime ago and i dont know where to find it now...or if it still works

@@CBers beat me to it! Yeah, I release new ones of all four in the official catalog then anyone with the YTrailers plugin needs to manually download from http://www.ballingtons.com/products

By "it" I assume you mean ytrailers? It's not allowed in the official catalog so cannot be updated through the standard methods

As it's not really feature driven and i often don't know if a new server is going to break it until it's released, I'll typically release a new version to fix it so posts like my one above is about all you'll expect to see. Otherwise, if yours stops working that's about all the notice you'll need to know to download the latest version.

It starts at the highest single file format available which is either 1080 or 720 then works backwards if those aren't available.

Yeah automatically sent. Can see it was sent to a hotmail address. Check your junk folder. :-)

I tried to delete 2 video themes, A Monster Calls and Alien: Covenant.

After that I did Scan Media Library, then run the Radeon Tools again.

It failed with this log :

A theme video doesn't exist for either of those according to my indexes. Feel free to add one tho!

Films that do not have a theme are showing a theme from another movie.

Is there anyway to get the plugin to NOT play revenge of the nerds music when it can't find a theme video? 

New movies I have that do not yet have theme videos(as in they don't exist yet) always play the same annoying Revenge of the Nerds. I would rather it just not play anything if there is nothing to play.

You must have that theme song in a parent folder.

I can't find it if I do. And it only plays on movies that don't have a 'theme'. Like if I scroll down to the bottom of the movie, it has no theme listed. Also, it only shows a static backdrop and plays some 80's synthesizer music(from the revenge of the nerds).

Ok well you must have a revenge of the nerds theme somewhere so just find it and delete it.

I don't even have revenge of the nerds the movie. I did a find . -name theme.mp4 and I didn't see any at all that were out of place. 

Also, it only seems to do it the first time I load a movie. After that it shows the backdrop for the movie(if there isn't a theme).

The 'revenge of the nerds' backdrop that it shows isn't an animated theme movie/file. It is just a revenge of the nerds picture. But it plays music separately to that. These both seem to be a default/fallback settings somewhere. 

The parent directory is just /data which is empty, and /, which is also empty(of media files that is)....So I am not sure where else it could be? But like I said, I do not even have revenge of the nerds at all.

you may not have the movie but you must have a theme song that is revenge of the nerds. it could have been a defect in an older version of the downloader plugin, it could have been something that was uploaded but incorrectly named, it's really hard to say.

 

does this theme song play when you browse the web app?
