Hi,

I have installed the plugin, run scan from scheduled tasks but still can’t see skip intro button when starting a show.

I use Emby app on my LG tv. Do I need emby premier subscription?

What show? Could be that TheIntroDB doesn't have the show yet.

No, you don't need Emby premiere.

That show could be the issue. Looks like The Office only has about 19% coverage: https://theintrodb.org/tv/2316

Is it possible to add skipdb.com database to the plugin? https://skipdb.tv/title/tt0386676

skipdb.com is bigger than theintrodb

SkipDB uses automatic segment detection, many of the segments are inaccurate. TheIntroDB has significantly more accurate segments as they're all validated by real humans. That's also an inaccurate assessment, SkipDB has 104k segments while TIDB has 173k segments. TheIntroDB is also in the process of migrating to v4, which will greatly increase this number because many segments have been pulled from the DB to be migrated to TheTVDB ID mapping.

I have checked for episode 1 season 1 and still now skip the intro button (there is data for this episode in introDB).

I've never tested myself, but even if the server is not performing the intro detection - isn't Emby Premiere required to show the pop-up?

Can someone verify this? I do not want to waste any more time if Premiere is needed, which I do not have.

Thanks!

This should be mentioned in the first post using red text.

Well people should know how the feature matrix works or know what they can't do without Emby Premier.

I agree that it is a little bit confusing. In my mind I first thought that The Intro DB plugin was made to work like the "Intro Skip" functionality provided in Emby Premiere.

But sadly there is a limitation in Emby. The "skip intro/skip credits" buttons cannot be called at this time by The Intro DB plugin as said by @Pasithea:

The only way to skip intro is to deal with the chapters for me.

Anyway, I'm still confused as the doc states that the native "Skip Intro" should appear, it does not mention that it only works with Emby Premiere, but I might miss something too:

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll add a note that the actual "skip intro" button only appears if you have Emby premiere.
