ninefast 1 Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Every time I see an update and go to the forum to check if there are any problems, I lose the desire to update. I'll keep my version 4.9.1.90, even though it doesn't scan all the films and TV series I have on my 50TB NAS. 1 2

The devices are all accessing the server via LAN, not the internet. This has only started happening since the Emby app was updated to version 2.310.0 via the Microsoft Store.
remid12 7 Posted Wednesday at 07:01 AM Posted Wednesday at 07:01 AM Hi Team, My update was done yesterday, and since this update, all my movie ( only movie not TV series ) have lost their "added date". When I says lost, I mean system replace by the date when the library scan my folder. So mean that on the first page the "latest movie" is totally wrong. Is there somebody else like that ? It's a bug or maybe a new option to set somewhere ? Thanks a lot for your help Best regards

I still haven't updated because issues like these that I keep seeing. Is 4.9.5 intentionally replacing the added date on a rescan? I'm not sure I understand why a version change is causing a reimport of a library. Is that supposed to happen for every user that upgrades to 4.9.5?

It's not, but has been reported to happen on certain setups since 4.9.3.0 upgrade.

No pattern, as far as I'm aware. 25 minutes ago, MBSki said: Any way to prevent it from happening? As always, general rule of thumb: save NFOs with media.
kingom 9 Posted Wednesday at 02:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:16 PM (edited) maybe the time between beta and stable branch should be scaled up? last releases look really buggy and not tested through. something like whole library gets readded or even, more worse, the current search problems - things like this must show up in some way in the beta channel before pushing it to stable. for me it's enough if there are only two stable releases a year. Yes I confirm, and I think it's not the first time, I have in my memory an issue long time ago. I should modify by myself the date added ( by loocking one by one on the creation date of folder )... Was a mess... NFO files never containt the date where, me, added the film on my mediatheque. Thanks a lot for this information, I will see if I want to modify again or if I let like that, in some month we will see no difference. Have a good day

They should have, as <dateadded> is standard XML tag that both Emby and any metadata manager I know of writes to NFO (and is read and honored on import).
