The people that use my server keep texting me and telling me Emby is offline. I then have to go in and restart Emby server and they are good to go. Anyone got any ideas why this keeps happening? I also host Plex on the same PC, could that be causing the issue? I do intend to shut Plex off in the next few weeks.

Do you have a static IP?

Do you use DDNS?

Is your router on the fringe (unstable) ?

Is you server setup with a static lan IP?

The list goes on and on.

We need a lot more info that you have give to help you.

I am having the same issue now. If I use my phone, I cannot connect to my server unless I am at home using Wi-Fi. I was having many issues, so I exchanged my modem for a new one, and now this is the only issue that remains. I have no fancy setup. Just my hard drives are plugged into my laptop with the server on it. It was working fine before. My IP did change when I got the new modem, but entering the new ip in the app did nothing. I was having this issue before I changed my modem, so..

what i can see in your log is, you are running a beta version right? --> 4.10.0.11

The other thing i can see is your PortMapper Plugin is trying to map some ports but is failing: PortMapper: Error creating port map

There is nothing more to see in the log that could explain the Problem.

Do you use the PortMapper Plugin or have you opened the ports directly on your router, and using a static internal (LAN) IP for your Emby Server?

I don't use port mapper. It installed automatically. I've never even clicked on it.
As I said, I have a pretty basic setup, just install and go, nothing added except Trakt and an anime metadata app. My modem is top-end quality, just plug and go. no fancy setup. no special settings or setup. The only thing I did was create a rule to leave the port open, but the only reason I did that was to try and fix this issue. I was following Emby's own troubleshooting for this problem.

is emby tcp or udp? cause now I have 2. How do I figure out which one to delete? Also, I had the issue before I opened the ports. The reason to open the ports was to fix the remote connection not working.

@Luke

What steps in the troubleshooter succeeded and which ones did not?
