fritz.the.cat 0 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 The Emby Universal Installer does not work with Fedora 43 and Gnome. The error message is in the text file. Emby Universal Installer Message.txt
Luke 42135 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hi, how does it compare when installing the rpm from our website? https://emby.media/linux-server.html
fritz.the.cat 0 Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 (edited) The server is currently running on Debian 13. The installation went smoothly. I wanted to install the beta version of the client on a computer running Fedora. This also went smoothly with Debian using the Universal Installer, but did not work with Fedora. I do not want to switch the server to Fedora yet. Edited March 1 by fritz.the.cat

Solution fritz.the.cat 0 Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Author Solution Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you would look at the attached textfile. There you can see that it's about the client. Quote Repo 'emby-beta' is configured (channel=beta). Emby Packages: 1) Emby Server Not installed 2) Media.emby.client.beta Not installed Choose App [1-2] (B: back, Q: quit): 2 Package: media.emby.client.beta (Media.emby.client.beta) Installed version: Not installed Available versions: 2.296.0, 2.295.0, 2.292.0, 2.291.0, 2.290.0, 2.288.0, 2.287.0, 2.286.0, 2.285.0, 2.284.0, 2.283.0, 2.281.0, 2.280.0, 2.279.0, 2.278.0, 2.277.0 Anyway, I'll stick with Debian for now, and that solves the problem.
