madevil 6 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Songs stop playing after 2 songs, I've tested this on two different phones using cellular data, both phones are Samsung, Galaxy 21 Ultra and 24 Ultra. I've trying uninstalling Emby and reinstalling, and I've tested on desktop, laptop and a Samsung Tab S9 tablet and no issue with playback. On the phones I've tested other albums and it doesn't always happen, last test was FLAC but in past I've had it happen on MP3 files, and I've had no issues with video playback on the phones also tested phones on Wi-Fi and still same issue. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-7c81627c-b5a3-436c-9f1d-7c878b250980_1.txt 1
sa2000 674 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I see these being played Megadeth - I Don’t Care Megadeth - Hey, God?! Then there was a request for another track but no playback being reported Could you have a look at How to Report An Android Problem and repeat the test with debug logging enabled on both emby server and the emby for android After enabling debug logging on Emby for Android app settings, you need to restart the app for it to take effect Server debug logging can be enabled in server settings, logs, settings So please provide debug Emby Server log, all the ffmpeg logs for the test period, and download the Emby for Android debug logs as well and attach As there may be security tokens logged in the android logs, you can zip and send these to me by Private Message Also include a screenshot to show what is on the screen on emby for android after completing the first two tracks Thanks
sa2000 674 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Thanks for providing the android debug log file and corresponding emby server logs. The android log shows Exoplayer errors for the flac files and in fact these errors are arising on all tracks and fallback to HLS was made for the first 2 tracks. Not sure why that was not the case for the 3rd track. I would like to get a copy of the album to pass to the development team. Also would like to see logs of it playing all 3 tracks ok the S9 Samsung tablet you mentioned and confirmation that you are seeing the same for mp3 files - similar diagnostics would be needed. Does the issue arise when playback is within the local network on wifi ? Sending you an upload link for the Megadeth album Thanks

Will need to see if the phone can playback the whole album when on the local network
sa2000 674 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Thank you @madevilfor the further tests which has confirmed that the issue only arises when on a remote connection playing flac audio tracks. The direct play when on wifi was ok on same device I have passed this and latest logs to the development team
madevil 6 Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Happy to help, look forward to this issue being resolved. 2
