hi i'm trying to make my NAS Server a media server it's a Thecus n4200 and i have a problem where after i install it it doesn't want to open i have it enabled and everything but it still won't open and i don't see anything in the logs of it failing i think it's because i'm missing Mono and FFmpeg but i don't know where to get the .mod files for them  https://preview.redd.it/9yavyq670tag1.png?width=809&format=png&auto=webp&s=c2d762401673bc9656fed9db552e4a1533caa153

hi i'm having problems try to use my emby server on my Thecus N4200pro and someone said it could be the firewall or the ports need to be added i checked the firewall but none of the numbers seem to be blocked so i'm guessing i need to add the ports but i don't how to do that i tried putting 8096 on the local port and 8920 on the remote ip but it didn't work so i switched them around that didn't work i also tried just putting 8000-9000 for both that didn't work i'm not sure what i need to do for it (i took out the ip address for this photo) https://preview.redd.it/question-about-ports-v0-9mjoulw8e5bg1.png?width=981&format=png&auto=webp&s=b3bc6fd8bd6b0255eae7ecc7c1a560291ed3c4b9

hi i've tried to install emby on my nas and it's not opening up for me from the web interface on my nas i've tried the ports and the firewall but i'm now wondering if it's because of the fact i don't have mono and ffmpeg installed but i'm not sure where to get the .mod files from and they don't have it on the download site https://emby.media/thecus-server.html where-to-get-ffmpeg-and-mono-for-v0-utskgg6qe6bg1.webp.114e5e318e3ee897de0f949aa4d95389.webp

i don't really have any logs or error messages just when i click on the emby server in this photo it just says unable to connect on the web browser but when i installed this on a arch VM on my computer it worked so that's why i'm thinking i'm just missing MONO and FFmpeg on my NAS where-to-get-ffmpeg-and-mono-for-v0-utskgg6qe6bg1.webp.1091254f881bd9acb57eae9b86d0105e.webp

You definitely don't have to do anything with ffmpeg.

Is the Thecus OS fully up to date?

it's on 5.03.2 which is the latest the N4200pro supports

Hi, what exactly didn't work?

opening the site from the NAS software to Emby (the emby server button in the photo) i'm thinking now though it has something to do with Mono missing cause it's not on the list but i don't know where i can get the .mod file from for Mono and FFmpeg i think it's that cause i installed the arch linux Emby server on a VM and it worked with that port number

That website doesn’t have a TheCus option and I don’t see anything on the network it that could be a permission though cause I notice with the Emby server installed it takes about 700MB of space

OK so that means you were able to install.

Ok now can you check for the server data folder? Is it there?
