On my Synology NAS 7.3 the Version 4.9.1.90 not working. The Website stop always when I tried to connect. I remove and reinstall the Version 4.8.1.80 and everything works fine. I do it again and the same behavior arrive. So, I go back to the Version 4.9.1.80

Hi Luke

I tried 3 or 4 Times. Allways the same. The Service stop when I tried to access the Server.

I see on the Version 80 other Errors.

But for me it works.

 

On the Database Settings I make a Optimisation and Vakumisation now.

 

Then I tried the Update again.

And it crash again. I revert to the 80 Version

Hi Luke

Yes the Database is very corrupt

I have different Backup but the last DB I have correctet on just 1 error

fts5: corruption found reading blob 2199023255562 from table "fts_search9"

But it would not start. So I delete more and more from the Data Folder with old backups

But now I see this Error

Application path: /volume1/@appstore/EmbyServer/system

This Folder not exist. I think this is now the Problem

Hi Luke

I tried again with a Backup DB to repair it and put it to the NAS

No chance at the Moment

Her is the last Server log File

I have now all Root Permission with my tools

HI Luke after many restore and New Install now I have a most restored version on the newest release. The Database has no error now. But from the old Full Backup maby some error exist. I have rename the Emby Server with all Settigs and make a new Installation. Then I restore an old full Backup

Can you say me how I can fix the last Errors in the emby Server.

You have inotify issues still remaining.

And that will disable Realtime monitoring.

System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The configured user limit (8192) on the number of inotify watches has been reached, or the operating system failed to allocate a required resource.

You can fix that by reading and doing this.

There is also some permission issues you will need to adress

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/var/packages/EmbyServer/var/config/mb.lic' is denied.
     ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied

Hi Luke, I restart the Server again and this Error Message is going away. The only Thing I have: I can’t save my Email Address on the Profile. But I send an Email to emby.media. like described.

Everything works now like bevor

For this, the easiest thing to do might be to delete that file, restart the server and then reconfigure emby premiere.

Hi Luke 

The Permission issues i have fixt.

I make this:

Shut down your server.
Find the 'data' folder under your Emby Server programdata folder
find and delete the 'device.txt' file in there
re-start the server
 
Now see if it works.  Note that this will require you to re-connect all Emby Connect accounts.
 
No big problem 🙂

Now I see another small Problem. The Event Type Boot-up no longer exist. I feel the function come now to late

Task Scheduler is working now on Startup
