Rewind or Fast Forward doesn't work on Android App?

Hi,

I am very new to Emby and imported my Live TV into it and it doesn't seem like rewind or fast-forward works for Live TV. Only using fast-forward if I pause the show obviously. Works on the Windows app or in the browser just fine.

Thank you for any help.

Will say I saw this thread and was able to force conversion of MPEGTS, but when deselecting "Prefer direct streaming of Live TV" that did not work. So I currently have that toggled on and force conversion of MPEGTS toggled on as well.

Hi, please try Emby for Android 3.5.16+ and let us know how that compares:

Thanks.

Running 3.5.16 and then toggling off "Prefer direct streaming of Live TV" and having Force Transcoding for Fomart "MPEGTS" as disabled as well, enabled rewind and fast forwarding of live tv, which is great. Not knowing the technical side of streaming and formats I do not know the difference in 3.5.15 between MPEGTS and the Live TV option. I am assuming if I had other media on my Emby server, enabling the MPEGTS to transcode would affect all media. While the option in 3.5.16 is only transcoding for live tv sources only.

When does 3.5.16 get released via the Play Store? And having to go into setting and toggle something to off, isn't the most user friendly experience. Especially for non technical users. Is this issue on a roadmap for a more permanent fix that doesn't require adjusting settings within the app?

Once you make that toggle you will not have to do it again. The settings stick for each user and, sometimes, app wide.

Yes? Did you want me to make as a solution? I was waiting for a reply back from my other ask;

Did you try the suggestion from the user above?

I don't think this will help me. My family isn't all using the same device. So each one will have to go in on their Android Client and uncheck this toggle themselves. Unless on the server side I can force this option.

Currently it can't be forced from the server but it's possible for future updates. Thanks.
