No User/Server using Emby Connect

I linked a user to an Emby Connect email and confirmed it through the email i received, but when I sign in with Emby Connect, i just go back to the same screen with the options "Add server" and "Sign in with Emby Connect".

I see the green icon indicating that the user is linked but it never shows up.

 

I am able to connect from outside of the LAN through "Add Server", but skipping that step is the whole point of the Emby Connect. 

Did I miss something or is there an additional step?

You are correct.

Nope, that all appears in order. Try blanking out that user Connect field (email address)>Save>re-enter address>Save, see what gives?

I get the same result if I remove the email info and put it in again. I might try creating another Emby Connect account and connecting that to a secondary user on the server.

Also of note, when i connect through app.emby.media via the server host information I do get an https error but it works to connect through http. I have had no problems connecting through WAN on apps using IOS or Apple TV outside of the network. Is there any requirement of configuring HTTPS or SSL to get the Emby Connect working?

Connect is not dependent on SSL, but you do need to setup it in case you want secure connections to your server.

Okay so something else must be at play.

I am now trying using the Windows Emby App from a device that has never connected to the server. typing the host in the web browser with http gives me a direct connection.

Cleared the Connect info, re-enter the address, restarted the server. 

In the Windows Emby App things are unchanged. Sign in with Emby Connect > Sign in > Default page with "Add server" and "Sign in with Emby Connect".

 

Do you have advice?

Try it from a browser with the console open and look for errors.
