Dont1982 8 Posted July 4, 2025 Posted July 4, 2025 Over the past few days I have had a few shows that didn't record like they should. Last night I had one that was 5 minutes and was supposed to be 1.5hrs. attached is the log I can see error reports but don't know what they mean. Thanks in advance! embyserver-63887184000.txt
Dont1982 8 Posted July 6, 2025 Author Posted July 6, 2025 There was a few cut short, it happens frequently. What does those errors mean? I have a pitch that allows 5 connections and I make sure I never have more than 4 at a time.

Dont1982 8 Posted July 6, 2025 Author Posted July 6, 2025 I didn’t know if that had something to do with the recordings. What logs do I need to add for the recording? And how do I clear those errors on this log?

Luke 42077 Posted July 7, 2025 Posted July 7, 2025 Quote And how do I clear those errors on this log? You could turn off the server's automatic port mapping feature in server network settings. After doing this, you may need to configure port forwarding in your router manually for remote access: Connecting from Client Apps
Dont1982 8 Posted July 8, 2025 Author Posted July 8, 2025 couldn't find any logs of the messed recordings, some were half recordings and some where like 30 seconds long when the shows should have been 1hr shows. When it happens again I will try and get the logs and post them here.
Dont1982 8 Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 Happened again. The show is The Proof is Out There. Only recorded 10 minutes. This happened with a few other shows the day before but the server purged the logs before i could catch them. This is the only log from that day. embyserver-63887875200.txt
Dont1982 8 Posted July 25, 2025 Author Posted July 25, 2025 Yes every once an awhile it will do it. It is never the same channel. It is like emby will start recording, then just stop for no reason.
Dont1982 8 Posted July 26, 2025 Author Posted July 26, 2025 Last night the show "The UnXplained" only recorded 29 minutes of an hour show. I have attached the log from yesterday. Also the port mapping error, i removed the mapping from my router that i put on there and i could not access emby from outside my network. So i disabled it on emby and put it back on the router and could not access it from outside my router. So it is enabled on emby and i have forwarded the ports on my router and i can access the server outside my network. Also seen where trakt token was expiring, why does this expire and is there any way to have emby let you know prior to it expiring? embyserver-63889084800.txt
Dont1982 8 Posted July 26, 2025 Author Posted July 26, 2025 It is iptv using the emby live tv. It is an m3u on my computer.
Dont1982 8 Posted July 27, 2025 Author Posted July 27, 2025 I just got a new router because the other one let the factory smoke out of it. I can connect through all my devices connected to my network. When I try to connect outside my network, it does not work. I have got the port forwarding on and I made up the port forwarding like I had before. I have turned off all antivirus and firewall and still cannot connect outside the network. I tried using emby connect and the ip address that my server shows. I'm thinking that the router messing up might have been the issue with the shows not recording all the way. According to the router I can see where my iPhone is accessing the server through the port. The new router is a Netgear Night Hawk RS90. I have attached the screenshots of the port forwarding i made, and the port forwarding Emby made. I have tried it both way with mine only, Emby's only and both and i can not access my server from outside my network. Any help on this matter would be a great help.
Q-Droid 989 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 For Windows a new router is a new network. Have you checked the network profile to make sure it's Private, not Public?
Dont1982 8 Posted July 27, 2025 Author Posted July 27, 2025 Yes it is private, one of the first things I did.

Q-Droid 989 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 And can you post a fresh log from the Emby server?

Q-Droid 989 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 (edited) Your server is listening on 8099 but your apps are forwarded to 8096. 2025-07-27 15:54:36.939 Info App: Adding HttpListener prefix http://+:8099/ UPnP has a forwarding rule that might be in conflict with your other defined rules and it's hard to know which one has precedence. Clean up your forwarding and decide which ports you want to use and advertise. The easiest would be to use the default 8096 internally and externally but if you have a reason to not use that port just make sure that you don't configure multiple and possibly conflicting rules. And turn off UPnP unless you need it for something else. Edited for correction. Edited July 27, 2025 by Q-Droid
